How the MBBS programme is structured

Phase I

Foundation Course & Pre-Clinical Sciences

Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry, alongside a foundation course covering communication skills and orientation to the profession.

First 12 months

Phase II

Para-Clinical Sciences

Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine and Community Medicine, with early clinical exposure introduced.

Next 12 months

Phase III — Part 1

Clinical Postings Begin

Ward rotations across Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology in the attached teaching hospital.

12 months

Phase III — Part 2

Advanced Clinical Training

Continued specialty postings including Orthopaedics, Emergency & Trauma, and Critical Care, building toward final examinations.

18 months

Compulsory Rotatory Internship

Supervised Practice Across Departments

A full year of hands-on practice under faculty supervision before registration as a medical practitioner.
