ASMC Kanpur Dehat is a state-government medical college and district hospital, built to bring tertiary-level healthcare and NEET-based medical education to a semi-rural population that has long been underserved.
Our Story
The college was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh as part of a national push to place a medical college in every district, closing the gap in tertiary-level care and family-planning services for communities that previously had to travel far for treatment.
Alongside patient care, the college trains MBBS students in medical knowledge and clinical skill as well as the legal, economic and social dimensions of practising medicine — preparing graduates to serve both local and global healthcare needs.
Located in Kumbhi, Akbarpur, the campus houses academic departments, hostels, a central library and an attached district hospital that doubles as a live teaching environment for students.
